Knowledge
Knowledge is everything your agent remembers and references: memories, documents, ingestions, skills, goals, and reminders. Open Agent settings → Knowledge.
Overview
Tabs in Knowledge:

In the app
- Open Agent settings → Knowledge
- Pick a tab
- Create or upload; wait for processing on documents/ingestions
- Delete or update outdated entries
Memories
Short durable facts. Prefer memories for stable preferences and CRM-adjacent truths; prefer documents for long manuals.
Documents
Upload PDFs and text. Agents search and cite them in chat / MCP.
To share a document outside JoAi (e.g. WhatsApp), open it in Knowledge → Documents, choose Make public, then copy the link or share via WhatsApp. Recipients open a public page on the documents mini-app at documents.joai.ai/{locale}/{slug} (locale follows the team language) without signing in. Use the lock control to revoke access.
For sensitive handoffs (credentials, contracts), choose Add password. The share URL then includes ?password=… (same pattern as vleap docs). Without the query param, recipients see an unlock form. Remove password clears protection; the lock control still revokes the whole share.
Prefer Archive over delete when a document should leave active knowledge but stay recoverable. Archiving also revokes any public share link. Toggle Archived in the documents list to restore.
Ingestions
Queued structured ingestion (meeting transcripts, Readwise, X mentions, notes). Monitor status here; agents can use ingest_knowledge, ingest_meeting_transcript, get_ingestion_ops, reprocess_ingestion where available.
Goals & reminders
Create goals and reminders in Knowledge. Board MCP also exposes list_goals, create_goal, list_reminders, create_reminder, etc.

- Re-ingest when source docs change materially
- Use Desk for temporary session media, not Knowledge
